Vision, Mission, and Core Values

The Mission of the United Methodist Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the Transformation of the World.  That is the mission of every church.  St. Paul exists to make disciples of Jesus Christ.

God calls St. Paul Church to be A Passionate Church: Empowered by God's Spirit.  Passionate for St. Paul means excited, joyful, committed and sacrificial. That's God's vision for us.

St. Paul will demonstrate passion in several key areas:

                  -Inviting People to Jesus
                  -God's Word
                  -Being Together
                  -Helping Others
                  -Celebrating God
                  -Telling Our Story
                  -Expecting Growth

Our church ministries, worship, fellowship, and study groups are designed to demonstrate our passion for God and others and to prepare worshipers to BE passionate about God and others.
Our passion is guided by five core values.
(1)   God is the center of all we do.
Through scripture and prayer, we place God at the center of our lives and our church.  It is His will we seek to fulfill.
(2)   Dynamic worship is mandatory.
Worship is an experience.  The form that worship takes (contemporary or traditional) is not as important as the purpose: to experience the presence of God through praise and adoration.  Our worship is alive.
(3)   Prayer is our power.
We depend on God through prayer.  Prayer is not telling God what to do.  Prayer is bending ourselves to God's will.  We pray about everything and trust God's guidance through prayer.
(4)   Accountability is required.
We are responsible to God and each other.  So we fulfill our vows of membership by supporting our church with our time, talents, money, prayers and service.
(5)   Communication is essential.
We keep our membership informed weekly through bulletin announcements and quarterly through our newsletter that is mailed to each home.  The story of what God is doing at St. Paul is worth telling.
Join us at St. Paul Church and experience the passion.
