Founded in 1871, St. Paul UMC is the second oldest church established by African Americans in Winston-Salem. Building upon a rich legacy, our church has dynamic worship, our music is done with excellence and the scriptures are preached with power and accuracy. Worship components depending on the Sunday include: four choirs, dance teams, praise team, key board, organ, piano, guitars, and a variety of horn, wood wind and percussion instruments.
Our facility has an elevator and restroom facilities that make it fully accessible to persons with physical conditions requiring assistance.

Do you have a nursery?
Yes, we do. Our nursery is a gentle haven for God's precious little ones. The nursery is available during Sunday school and worship services. The nursery staff engages with all of the children through play time, story time, snack time and special one-on-one time if needed. St. Paul adheres to the Safe Sanctuary policy of the United Methodist Church.
What can I wear to your church services?
We truly believe in God's come as you are proclamation. Therefore, we ask that when you worship with us you are comfortable. Your comfort may be traditional church attire, jeans and sneakers or business casual- whatever you chose is all right here at St. Paul.
